G’day everyone,
Here is ‘Nature’s Pic of the Week’!
This is the beautiful flower of Lilium lancifolium, also commonly known as the Tiger Lily. Lilium lancifolium is a bulb that will go dormant during the winter months and will then re-emerge in early spring. This species can grow to a height of 1.2 meters (4ft) and usually 30cm (1ft) wide. The flower buds emerge in late spring and these brilliant orange flowers will bloom during the summer months.
