G’day everyone,
I didn’t spend much time in the garden over the weekend, but I did manage to go and see the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS). Compared to last year, I felt that there were only a few very well designed gardens. The two show gardens that stood out to me were ‘Do The NT Garden’ designed by Candeo Design and ‘The Retreat’ designed by Paul Hervey-Brooks.

‘The Greenery Garden Centre Show Garden’ designed by Vivid Design, was beautifully constructed and designed. It won the Mark Bence Construction Award and the Horticultural Media Association Award for the best use of plant life.

The hanging basket competition is always fun to have a look at and see what ideas people have come up with. This hanging turtle was one of my favourites, he is even munching on some lettuce!
Unfortunately, the day I went to the show, we were experiencing some very windy and wet weather. I managed to capture only a few photos but not as many as I would have liked. Here are a few more pictures that I captured from my time at the show.
