When hunting for the perfect Christmas tree what are some of the features you look for? Myself, I look for a tree with a tear-drop shape, a nice fat bushy base and nice pointy top. And of course a straight trunk. The amount of trees which have ticked all the boxes except a straight trunk have been countless. ..
For many years I have dreamt of owning my own Christmas tree which I could plant. This year the nursery I work at, Gardenworld, has Picea radiata for sale! As you can imagine I ran at them and bought one for my garden. I have also taken a lot of cuttings off my cut Christmas tree in the hope to get them to successfully propagate.
Are you getting a living or cut Christmas tree this year? If so, what do you look for in your tree.
Until next time happy gardening! By Bonnie-Marie Hibbs ©BMHPhotographyTheGardener’sNotebook2017
