It was a lucky day.
Mt.Fuji greeted us from behind the clouds as we awoke that morning. We sat taking in the view for a good 10 minutes before the clouds slowly created a veil over the face of the mountain.
We stopped by a sport clothing store to pick up a jacket as I had packed too lightly for the weather and we spent a few hours in that one store… We were all excited by the deals… Once I had a jumper, two pairs of shorts a top and many other things I didn’t realise I wanted. We got back into the car and made our way towards our accommodation for the night. Along the way we stopped at The Japan Uki-yo-e Museum. On display were beautiful old wooden block prints the oldest dating back to 1860.
After our brief stop at the museum we made our way towards Takayama. From the car window we spotted a pretty spot to take a few photos.
A little further up the road we came across a magical scene. I was so excited to see the autumn colour! The whole reasoning for me to take part in this trip was to discover the autumnal tones of Japan. Even though the photo is blurry I think it has captured my excitement pretty well.
