It is difficult times and the next few months will prove to be too. It is a moment like this that we all should remember to reconnect with our gardens, breathe and take in the sights around us which are almost ‘stopped and framed in time’.
I must admit I have had a lot of anxiety around this pandemic we are all facing, due to my worries for my loved ones who would not hold up well to this disease if exposed to it. It is very… very easy to fall into the stress of the moment… to feel the pressures of it. Times like these I escape to my garden and take in its beauty. Gardening is a great way to relieve stress and it can provide us with many health benefits too.
If you have not started a garden or haven’t looked at it in awhile, I am sharing the beauty of gardening as a whole with these photos. I hope to inspire you to get out into the garden and enjoy its benefits… especially now.

Pictured above is Corn ‘Blue Popcorn’ a variety solely grown to be dried and then popped for popcorn. Best of all the popcorn will be blue! It has been a great grower in the garden providing me with heaps of cobs! I can’t wait to use it soon for a tasty snack.
Also pictured are… or what is left of my beans. I just didn’t eat them quick enough. So I left them to dry naturally on the plant for the purpose of picking their seeds for storage. I will harvest what I can and use the seeds again in Spring later this year.

Until next time happy gardening!

It is tricky times. I like, all you need is Faith, Trust & a little fairy dust. Our Faith in God, Trust in close friends & family & the fairy dust would be, the things that make us laugh,, Like our young rooster trying out his crow for the first time this morning, its just the most hilarious sound. Beautiful photos, have you had the pop corn before? we have had it & like everything from the garden it tastes amazing. Have a fantastic week. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden photos it always adds to my smile.
I agree completely, the fairy dust will be the saving moments during the hard times. I can only imagine the sounds of your rooster in the morning, waking up with a laugh. I haven’t had the blue popcorn before so I am really looking forward to trying it. I have it drying out at the moment, hopefully it will be ready to pop in a few days time 🙂
Thank you for your comment and stopping by to take the time to look at my garden, I hope you too have a great week.
The sunflower 🌻 is my number one favorite flower. I always enjoy looking at the flower blooming. I remember I grew it in my garden many years ago when I just moved to my current house. I loved it. I want to grow it again but it is very difficult to get the high quality seed here.
It is a favourite of mine too. This is the first time I have grown them in a while. I got to enjoy them for a few days before the birds got to them haha. Fingers crossed you might come across some decent seeds soon!
I know where I will be spending my 2 weeks of confinement.
In the garden is the best place if you can 😀
Pictures of corn and beans half a year from now are what I think about as I plan for planting now.
Great crops to grow too!
