I know what you are thinking, a new post, and it’s been how long!? I am thrilled and excited about this new chapter in my gardening and personal journey. I have moved to my *almost* dream property – let me divulge that my dream property would be in the middle of nowhere with hundreds of acres of land and forest. But sadly, that is not quite in the books at this point in life.
However, I now live in a magical place in the mountain ranges where snowfall is likely; wonderful autumnal colour graces the trees with rich soil ready for planting.

One of the first projects at the new property might not be as thrilling to some, but it is the setup of the new chicken house and run. This 6-metre instalment should hopefully keep the chooks happy until they become familiar with their new environment. The plan is that we will eventually create floral beds surrounding the coop to create walking pathways. What do you think? Would you make a different style garden near a chicken house? Would a vegetable area be better, though I worry that there won’t be sufficient sunlight to grow edible crops in this part of the garden.
Nonetheless, here is a sneak peek at the new property with a lot of photos yet to come!
